Welcome to my website!

Here you will learn about my main research interests, my published scientific articles and exciting expeditions in which I have participated.

About me

Understanding the factors that drive and constrain species diversification is a central goal in evolutionary biology. My research focuses on the taxonomy and evolutionary history of Amazonian freshwater fishes, with an emphasis on patterns of diversification and biogeography. To address these questions, I integrate multiple approaches, including comparative morphology, population genetics, and genomic analyses. By combining these perspectives, my work contributes to the broader understanding of how historical processes and environmental dynamics have shaped the remarkable biodiversity of the Amazon Basin.
